so i have all my weight reduction parts and am ready for a tuner. i am undecided between sct livewire and sct x4. am i correct in assuming the livewire is just a fancier monitor? even if it's just a monitor if i could mount and make it look like it belongs i think i would spring for it. so show me how i should mount it!

Get the X4 and a Edge CTS2 with dash mount.

he is correct, and we make a clean mount for it ! we throw the mount in free when you purchase the x4 and the edge cts2 with egt probe !

I think this is the mount Mike is talking about . It's a great mount for sure. I actually messed around this afternoon with another mounting location. I don't have aux switches so I figured what the heck. I used the plastic mounting surface I got off brads mount and turned out pretty good.

I like the idea of a the clean mount but hate the idea of blocking the tweeter in the door with it. I wish the CTS2 would fit above the rear view mirror but the roof console hangs down too far. I was thinking about maybe mounting it in front door of the roof console or possibly making a clean mount to go above the radio.

Why not fab up a bracket that mounts to the window visor. This let's the montitor sit in upper left corner of the window tuck behind the piller. Run the cable up behind the pillar. The screws for the window visor are plenty strong enough to hold up the monitor.

This is what I did on my 6.0 I don't see why it wouldn't work on the newer trucks.
Here is mine as a visual. I could of probably made the bracket longer and tuck it back farther.

Tweeter isn't really blocked, I can fully see the speaker while driving.

This is from XDP. Had to order the kit for a '08-12 since I have the XL trim.
