My brother is currently working on a 1979 fummins project, and I'm wiring it. I was wondering if any body else has done this type of conversion and if so what did you do for a dash. He bought autometer gauges and we're between making a new dash out of stainless/diamond plate/sheet metal/something or put a piece of metal behind factory dash were the factory gauges were and putting the new autometer gauge in those spots. If you have a picture of one or come acrossed one online posted it up any help would be great.

Trucks alot farther along then it apears in these picture, I took these about 3 months ago. All he has left to do is interior and I hae to do the wiring.
