Just curious, lots of Ford guys on here.
Been drooling over the newer ones since they came out in 2010, that ecoboost engine is a beast. (Only downfall of the ford v6 motors is the retarded waterpump design) Found a low mileage 2013 SHO for sale, modded out with cat-less DPs, upgraded CAC pipes, SCT X4, exhaust/intake, and a stage 3 meth kit. Car is absolutely mint from the pics. Headed to go look at it and probably pick it up Friday.

You will not regret getting it. Those motors are great. We have a client that have about 25 in their fleet of f150s. Most have over 200k with a few tapping 350k. All 13 and 14 model trucks. We did some tune testing with ppei at their place and truck made about 8 hp less than when it left the factory and that truck is the 350k ones. I know you were asking about the SHO just thought i woukd give some insight on the 3.5 EcoBoost engine.

My only issue with it is the waterpump design....INTERNAL timing chain driven. IF it lets go, it's a $2,000+ service and there's the possibility that it takes out your engine if you don't catch it. I'll be checking this sucker pretty regularly, lol

I wouldn't exactly consider that a issue or point to not buy one.
Plenty of engines have been running that design for quite some time. Especially the vw diesels. Can't say I've heard of one just letting go. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Even better is Ford lists it as a "non-service" item. I called to get an estimate on how much to have it done, (pump out ~2 qts and replace) they quoted me well over $300 after they told me it's a "lifetime fluid item and not usually done." I laughed as I hung up.

Im sorry is the "ptu" a rear differential that has cv shafts like a vette or ton of other independent rear ends? Or is this just on the AWD versions?
