Question AutoEnginuity Help

I'm finding more reasons to get the AutoEnginuity software for use on my '00. Had an intermittent miss last week that would flash SES light, but couldn't pull anything from with my dad's standard code reader. Just last night OD light was flashing and slammed hard into reverse when I went to back in the driveway (trans was just built in late January and still under warranty). Being able to investigate issues like these on my own right away is the main draw, but being able to do other testing and correcting my speedometer are also big advantages.

I'm looking at the bundle from RiffRaff; prices seem consistent regardless of vendor. http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/autoen...hanced-bundle/

Is this the package most folks are using, or are they opting for a different package?

Also, what computer are yall running the software on? Going to need one of those too. Found the basic system requirements on the web site; doesn't seem too Does the disk need to be in when running the software, or only to install it? If it's just for installation purposes, then I could get a smaller laptop without a built-in CD or DVD drive and use a USB CD drive to get the software on the computer.

Thanks for the help! Need to get all this sooner rather than later... probably should have bought it a LONG time ago...

Disc is just for loading the software

pricing is MAP so you won't see variables from authorized retailers

you can ask A/E for a file to download if you don't have a CD drive https://www.autoenginuity.com/wordpr...port/software/

most Ford guys get the Ford bundle Total Ford ScanTool Bundle (SP03)
I would like to have more like chevy and yota but those bundles combined are to much
for me

they list the basic pc platform on their site I am not sure what the minimal is EDIT 2nd line https://www.autoenginuity.com/wordpress/support/faqs/

If you don't want to spend the bucks right now for AE try out Forscan. It is free software that you run on your computer and interface with the truck either on Bluetooth or through the OBD connector.

Here is a thread that is talking
about it if you would like to check it out.

WHS^ if you don't want to spend money on AE give Forscan a try.

All you need is windows laptop with bluetooth

a bluetooth OBD adapter like https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-4261.../dp/B006NZTZLQ

Download the software from http://www.forscan.org/download.html (its free)

in my experiences Forscan can do everything that AE can do and more.

Best of all its free.

I'll definitely look into Forscan; Thanks for the link to the thread! Now I've got some reading to do while at work.

That thread, is mostly to do with 08+ but it doesn't hurt to learn new things.

Forscan is awesome, if I knew about it back when I bought my AE way back then I would have just bought the BT adapter and downloaded Forscan.

Default SP03 on a 2015?

Back from the dead... I'm having a hard time finding the latest year model Super Duty supported by AE. Have a 2015 that I'd like to be able to use it on as well...
