The BFG AT's are getting tired. I want to try a new brand, some Toyo AT II's... My dilemma is that they don't make them in a 285/65/R20 which is the size I have now and they fit. I do not have a lift or leveling kit and have no interest in one for the truck. The toyo's come in 295/65/R20 which are a true 35" tire with a 11.5" tread width. The BFG's are a 34.7" with a 11.2" tread width.

I know, I know... You are going to say "why don't you just check the clearance with the BFG's?" Well, I would but I'm traveling for work until May. I want to order the tires so they are sitting at home when I get there. I've heard there is a supply issue with the toyo's.

Thanks everyone.

I'm pretty sure you could get Nitto Terra Grapplers in that size and tread life will be as good if not better than the BFG's (I've had both)

I can't find the Terra Grapplers in that size. I've found 285/55/R20 and 285/50/R20... They don't make the Terra Grapplers in 295/65/R20's either.

Back to the Toyo's!

I have put 295/65R20 Toyos on a '10 F350 4x4 with no lift and factory wheels. No rubbing issues

There is also a 295/60/20. Not quite as tall, but it's still a beefy tire. That's what I have on my 2012. Stock height up front, 3" blocks in the back. No rubbing other than slight radius arm rub at full lock on the drivers side. Wheels are favorite 20's.

Pretty sure you can get that size in both the Terra Grappler (what I have) and the Open Country AT/2.

Yes, but are offered in the 295/60R20.

Nittos are plentiful in that size right now. Toyos are out currently.

Whelp, I bought them, I wanted to take advantage of free shipping. They'll be getting to the house today and I will be mounting them first thing in May when I get home from work. Based on what you guys are saying I should be ok. I really want to keep the suspension stock, but if they rub I guess that would force me to bump the front end up an inch or so... We'll see I guess.

I have 295/65/20 AT II's on my 08 on factory 20s and they clear fine besides rubbing the radius arm a very slight bit at full lock..It's very little though

I really like that they are a bit wider. I was never happy with the BFG's in that aspect, I always thought they were too thin.

How do you think that 295/60 will look on a 20X12? I'm wanting something a little taller because the 305/55 looked way to small on my truck

You'd be stretching them a bit because the 295/60's are only 11.66" wide, but they are a taller tire then your 305/55's.

I think they would look fine though, but thats me.

Ohh Yea, I should have specified the nitto. It says it's 12.36 wide.

I know the thread is a few months old, but I try and follow up with whatever it was that I was trying to do just in case anyone is doing research in the future.

Like I said, I did order the tires, and as suspected they fit well with minimal rubbing on the radius arms at full lock but only when the suspension is cycling.

Anyway, here are some snaps.

As for driving characteristics, as others have said about these tires at first they seemed "soft" or even "slippery" however, they have firmed up very nicely over time. So far (after 10k miles) they are wearing nicely. I rotate my tires every 5k miles.
