I DID have my own business before I started working for him. I gave up mine to join forces with him because I saw him nearly killing himself trying to get the job done....mostly because good, reliable help is not something you can actually find these days, and he was trying to do it all himself. I watched him age himself 10 years in the first 3 he was in operation, and made the decision to start working for him to try and lighten the strain and keep him from killing himself. That was 6 years ago, and we've built this business into something greater than we ever imagined it could be.....all while still doing the majority of the work ourselves....yes, just the 2 of us. We work more hours in one week than most candy assed keyboard badasses like yourself work in 2. I spend more time during the summer with my old man than I do with my own wife and kids. But I'm a spoiled kid.... what would I know about anything family. I'm 37 years old, and the only 2 fuk'n things that "daddy" has ever given me were my first 2 vehicles, one at 16, the other as a senior. Both of which were junkers that needed engines, which I paid for with the money I got out and made working every fuk'n day after school. So how about you get off your mound of chit that you think makes you taller than me and fuk off.

I usually don't even respond to dipchit responses like this, but I guess that one just rubbed me the wrong way. It'll no doubt go anywhere positive, and warrant some other kind of dumbass response as it usually does over social sites like this. But hey, I'm hung over from last night, and frankly, I don't give a fuk.

Amen brother! I watched my dad kill himself for years. I wish I would have been in a position to help him like you have with your father.

At that speed?? It was windy too. These enclosed trailers get 10 mpg empty or loaded lol.

I'm in a family business as well. The business takes care several expenses for me. Even have truck that the farm owns for me to drive. But I'm the only child from my older brother and younger sister that have kids. Older brother is divorced, younger sister sterile from cancer. I look at them and see a lot of items they own but they don't have a mortgage. Too each their own I guess.

I hear you. It's like pulling a sail down the road. Some are are better than others, but you can only do so much to reduce drag.

I wish I would have data logged the pull home. A quarter of it was through some rolling hills. I pulled in my 80hp dd tune and never got close to my alarm at 1200 degrees.

Wow.
Kinda sh!tshow for a minute. Maybe the wrong place to bitc# about family problems, but when you pour your life into a business, sometimes a guy has to vent!
Building something like that is a lot of work, and most of the time, it sucks.

Just keep plugging away, 6speedsd. You are very fortunate to have the opportunity to yell at your dad for his stupid decisions, lol.

I've never yelled at my dad, we've never had a fight or arguement. 99.9% of the time we think the same on everything, we look at issues the same, ect. My issue was that this mower wasn't a wise choice for the business at this point in time. But he used personal judgement over business judgement and bought it. However just last week he confessed that he believes I was right and that another ztr mower would have been better right now. I didn't go and scream "I told you so" or any bs like that. I had the opportunity to work with my grandfather all through my childhood/teenage years, and now my dad the past 6 years. I know a lot of people don't get that opportunity, or don't get along with family enough to work side by side, and I consider myself very fortunate.

I'm sorry for the sh!tshow rant at dudes reply, but calling me a spoiled kid based on an assumption brought out the crazed redneck in me. I've worked my arse off for everything I have, and I'll be damned if someone is going to call me spoiled.
