5100 series shocks are for lifted trucks, stock trucks use 4600 series.

I literally just went through this trying to find the right ones... I went to the Bilstein website and came across the explaining that the this is the way it was... Hope you like yellow!!! Or have a spray paint can...

While at PRI, I spoke with the guys at Bilstein concerning a few things.

The 5100s are for lifted trucks and you choose the generic valving that you like.

The shocks that are for the specific application, are valved for that application.

Get in touch with Cary his user name is OBSWIZ, he is a Bilstein dealer and knows a lot about the suspension on these trucks.

No BJ, but they last for the life of your truck. My stockers were totally gone @50k, the Bilsteins are like new with well over 150k on them and ride/handle better.

But you can buy 5100 series shocks almost anywhere for under $400 why would anyone spend $500 for the same shocks

Caraid.com or something like that I priced out the 4600s and they were like 276 and 5100s somewhere around 350ish
