I use a test light to check both things mentioned. Use a hi impedance one, like one with a glass fuse for a bulb in it, not an led one. For the gpr put test light alligator clamp on ground and tip to the gpr, should light up bright. For the glow pligs, test loght alligator clamp on positive, tip to uvch. Should light up bright, if its dim or doesnt light up, failed glow plug or harness. I like the test light method, as it loads the circuit. You can ohm out good with only 1 or 2 strands in a wire due to how the ohm test is done, a load test will show that as hi resistance.

But it does sound like youve got a uvch problem, or multiple glow plug issues. May be a good idea to change it all for piece of mind.

First off and don't take this wrong but do you know how to use a ohm meter? You don't want to test volts but ohms when testing the glow plugs.

yes, just double checking i am doing it the correct way, iv read if you touch the other prongs it can arc out and cause injector issues and what not, just want to be sure.

You can ohm out the injectors just like the glow plugs with zero problems. That is also a way to test the injector wiring from the IDM plug to see if you have a problem.

excellent, would it passing a buzz test rule out the wiring? at least for the injectors.

If you are checking continuity/resistance (ohms) between ground and the outside pins on the VC Gasket Connectors then you are doing it right. If you get an open circuit, either the GP is bad or the wiring is bad to it.
