1995 7.3 power steering leak

I have a 95 7.3, new power steering pump and hose. Installed both today only to find out i have a major leak coming from the threads opposite the pump fitting(steering box side). The new hose only came with a Teflon seal for the pump side no seals for the flared side. My question is, is there supposed to be an o ring or something to seal the flared side. If not how do I get the fluid to stop seeping past the threads?

Flare fittings don't require o-rings or sealers. Post a pic of the hose end.

Did anyone ever change to gear box? How many bolts are holding the top plate on the gear box?

iirc you can over tighten the hose threads and pop it out, i did that one time on mine, i just unscrewed it, tightened it down snug and it was fine after that.
