Looking to do my own electric fuel setup, and need some advice. I know of a 6.7 hfcm fuel pump for sale, would that work for electric fuel, or would I need to use a SD 7.3 pump instead?

The Bosch pump that is stock to the 7.3 SD is a popular choice to use for Efuel conversions on the 94-97 OBS 7.3 trucks. It's what I'm using on my Efuel set-up. They have a good track record of being a solid reliable pump. I don't know much about the 6.7 fuel pump to comment on it.

Will it not? I remember a thread talking about guys using 6.7 pumps on 7.3's/6.0's. Unless they were using them as a "lift pump"

With the 6.7 being common rail, thought it was just a low pressure supply pump.

I have a stock Bosch SD pump with the Strictly Diesel metric to AN fitting I would gladly sell to you if interested. It only has about 100 miles of service on it. I upgraded to an A1000 is why I have it for sale. Ran 2 micron CAT filter pre pump. PM me if interested.
