Well I know my trucks a woman you give her something and she bites you.

I put new batteries and full service this morning to start her up to see my driver side rear uvch connector smoking..... i replaced it 3 years ago with a new pigtail. So i guessing the connector and gasket are burnt and my question is would the sd style be better. Im thinking being under the turbo is killing it. Also..... it runs fine so i disconnected the gp relay (im sure thats what smoked on the harness) is it ok to run unhooked? I pulled the big positive cable off.

just make sure you insulate the cable end, you don't want to start a fire. If your truck starts well you don't need glow plugs in the summer
