I have been working on a rear bumper tire gate build for the past week with my uncle. Thought I should pdot some pics up of the build and materials used.

Im using the competition 4x4 heavy duty spindle
Destaco 341-r latch
I have some delrin for the swinging gate to rest on when latched into the bump stop
The latch will be positioned at an angle so it will pull back and down on the gate to prevent and movement that may fatigue the spindle

2x Rigid Dually Led lights will be mounted in the rear of the bumper

Comp 4x4 uses and sleeved spindle so you dont have to weld on the actual spindle.

8"x4" square tube steel bumper 3/8"
4"x3" square tube steel for the arm 3/8"

Ya we were building 2 of them here is the second one on a 79 bronco, it also has a alternate homemade latch instead of the destaco latch to cut down on cost

that looks like amazing work, but here's my question? what size tires do you have? also what do you use your bed for that you can't put a full size spare in the bed? don't take this the wrong way because your craftsmanship is stellar!
