This was mine. It was slow and loud but fun to drive. It was just a beater truck so id go anywhere with it. As far as performance, it sucks but it had torque at the low end :D

After putting in a 93 turbo motor with a Banks turbo set up, my old 88 F250 4x4 went really good, just the oil leaks pee'd me off. Sold it for $10,000.00, that was what I had into the motor....

old thread I know.. but thinking the past few weeks and yes I actually miss my old IDI. wrecked it after a few months of owning it, threw new springs under it and kept driving it till the TTB finally bit the dust. the ONLY truck i've ever had I've beat to death and kept asking for more. solid axled it, rebent the frame, put a total of 20k miles in 7 months of owning it. yes not fast, but VERY reliable, shouldve never sold it :cursing: here's a picture of it days before I sold it with my newly acquired (at the time) Cummins :fustrate: and another picture of how it still had a good shine when it was clean.

My 88, still gets driven regularly, R-12 A/C still blows colder than anything new. Banks turbo and a 5 speed.
