My cousin purchased this turbo for his E99 a few weeks ago:

http://powerstrokenation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139597&highlight=d66+sale

He is installing it today, and it will not fit. It looks to me like it is a hybrid D66, E99 turbine housing, and a 99.5-03 compressor housing. I called Beans, and they said that they did not sell hybrid D66's. Could it be a GT38R? What measurements do we need to get to ID the turbo? Anyone know who may have sold this guy the turbo from off of PSN, so I can contact him to find out what it is? I have sent a message to the OP and haven't heard back yet. I have googled the part numbers, and have come up empty so far. Here are a few pics:

Definately a river city turbo turbo, last one I had ended up in the scrap heap.

Van turbo... If its in good shape its a nice turbo, but it will not fit his truck without some parts swaps...

How does it compare to a D66?

Just seems like for the money with the extra parts, it's not that good of a deal?

If you had the compressor side modified to run the 66mm wheel then it would be a d66, or i guess a super d66 since it has the 1.15 turbine housing.

Who did you buy it from? They shouldn't have sold it to you unless you had a communication issue.

On edit: just saw the origional sale thread. Seriously doubt the bearings are cryoed, maybe, but not likely. If you look down the exhaust outlet, is there a larger gap between the fins on the turbine and the side of the exhaust housing than there is on the old charger?

Odd, Chris is one of the best out there IMO

Well i have a $1500 pos sitting here. It was a sledgehammer s300 i got through swamps, kept burning out the thrust washer. Talked to swamps and river city turbo checked everything they wanted and rct told me i had an "oiling issue".

Talked to my cousin, and he got ahold of RCT, and the only thing the lady could tell him from the part numbers is that it has a 66mm compressor. Turbine housing looks exactly like the D66 I had, just a later compressor housing. I'm sure it's up for sale if someone is interested.
