A buddy of mine told me to get a 6 position chip and run a 140hp tune. It sounds nice but I'm stock and I feel like a tune that is that aggressive would screw my internals up? Am I correct? Also what's the difference between a chip and programmer. Thanks

The HP numbers associated with a chip's position are really meaningless. With stock injectors, the most you might get out of it would probably be 60-maaaybe 80. The engine is stout and can handle it. You should invest in gauges to monitor things though (EGT, Boost, and Trans Temp (for automatic) are the usual go-to's for those). As you go up in power from stock, the E4OD auto trans is the weak link. Cheers!

A chip goes into the computer, programmer usually goes in the port under dash.
