Truck falls on it's face 3-4-5 gear

Well here is a wierd one....I got in the truck to set up the ez link as per above. It went to an firmware update and would not let me wait until later. I started it, then it lost connection multiple times. It got to the point where it would no longer connect at all, reset the phone, still no luck. So I unplugged and replugged in the ez link, now it won't show up as a wifi connection. Several cuss words later, I decided to go home. Well on the highway of course I am a little angry, and drive more aggressive than I should and I notice at highway speeds it wasn't doing it. Then getting to the neighborhood I slow down to 2nd gear and takeoff the way I did before, didn't do it. Slowed to 1st, didn't do it. Tried twice more, it has stopped. Could the ez link be the problem?

I dont know on that. Usually says fuel rail pressure or frp.
