I haven't heard of a fix but, I would see if I could find some grade 8 or 10 washers and have them welded to the outside of the mount. Would be the cheapest and simple fix.

Companies like Artec Industries, TMR Customs, etc sell What's called a weld washer. It's a tear drop shaped washer for this exact problem.
