Well I replaced all 8 GPs with ZD9 GPs and the GPC relay this past Sept '12. Yesterday I go to cold start my '93 IDI Turbo and the GPs start short cycling! I suspect that the factory system had been running the glow cycle for to long...up to 40+ seconds at 40°F outside temps. Then there is the factory system always cycling the GPs every time the ignition is cycled. So, I'm going to a manual system...but now I have to go through all the GPs and find the bad one(s)! Lessened learned the hard way, I guess! But the kicker of the day was when I got back home with the truck...the shift lock actuator split into two pieces and I could not get the truck into park with out pulling the linkage cable at trans and moving lever on trans by hand from underneath the truck. I had to drop the whole tilt wheel stirring column to get to the broken part. I sure love this old truck! But man some days she is rough on me! Lol. Manual push button for GPs in order for repairs still.
