occasional chirp on start up

a few times a month i notice a chirp on start up, it happens when the engine is cold and warmed up, im in phoenix at the moment so its in the 100's all the time and it only lasts a second any ideas?

tensioner or any of the other pulley's could cause that

Check out the tensioners. There two of then. One for the ac and one for the main belt, also does it do it when the ac is on? Start it with the ac on and then start it with the ac off and see if it does it without the ac pump engaged when you start it

I had trouble with tensioners and idler pulleys, also an alternator, one or all of these could be your suspect.

^^ They nailed it for you. You can usually crawl under the passenger side and see which tensioner is hoping around/acting weird.
