The dual tensioner is an upgrade or improvement. The BT-50 will fit, that’s what I have on my 1997 F250.

That is a dual Super Duty tensioner.
It is a lot better than the stock one. Someone along the line of the life of your truck put the dual one on and threw the single one into the trash.

Here's a link to a drawing that shows how to modify the engine bracket for those who want to do this mod. You must use the Motorcraft dual pulley tensioner, the other brands don't work. Only one pulley pivots on non-Motorcraft tensioners:
