'09 with DSG has 123,xxx and still going strong! Great little car and I can't force it to get worse than about 38mpg. Averaged 42 otw to TS going through the mountains with an average speed of 73 for the trip lol.

So who wants to make me a ****** down pipe? Lol I just can't justify spending 800 bucks for one of the ones that are offered currently...

Sent from a Cummins plant, driving a TDI, wishing it was a Powerstroke

Currently I have an 04 Jetta GL TDI/5 speed. It has a tdtuning stage 1 tune, and I have a stage 2 endurance/SMF kit waiting to go in. Currently has about 189k miles. My daily driver.

We had an 04 Jetta GL Auto but we sold it. Had roughly 114k on it.

And my new toy that I'm currently fixing. 97 passat B4V TDI. One of 80 imported in 97. It's currently receiving some love. Bought it for a grand from the original owner. The cluster fried with 180k an he drove it for a few more years (albeit much less than when it was working). Somewhere around 220k miles. Going to replace the excursion. They are kinda ugly but the look is growing on me. Texas car with no rust. 25 gallon fuel tank from the factory, 1200+ mile tanks are easily doable from what I read.

I have a 2000 Jetta 5-speed. I bought it with 270k on it back in August, has a little over 280k now and still solid. Burns a little oil and the body creaks/groans here and there getting flexed but price was right for a beater. All the electronics still work and drives nice. The previous owner had put nozzles in it along with ******** the EGR, straight piping it and a k&n filter. I added rocket chip stage 2 ECM (to clear the CEL from the EGR) and a skid plate which has come in handy many times.

Back when I first picked it up

I'm liking the looks of the 2014 sportwagen might buy one of those, or just find a nice clean low miles 03 wagon.

You got the longbeaches too? I love those wheels. Just put some on my 02. What skid plate did you go with? The panzer?

My 02 5spd ALH. Pretty stock for now, 133k on it. Added the longbeaches for summer driving and new Hankook winter Ipikes on the stock steelies for the snow travel (animal in the snow, WITH good tires on it!) Also have some Eibach pro springs to put on, but doing a skid plate first for that. Gauges on the way, then doing clutch/nozzles/tuning and then maybe a turbo and bigger nozzles next year. Also added the blacked out bumper lenses and side markers. Black headlights will be next and badgeless grill with the notch filled in the hood.

Yup pretty sure the long beaches were half the reason I bought the car lol sucked driving around during the winter with the ugly 5 spoke alloys. I will have to check out those winter tires since I will need some when the snow flies again.

Yup panzer plate, nice and solid, installed easy and works good. Only thing I don't like is doing oil changes. The plate comes off easy but I am too lazy to pull it. I probably spend as much time wiping up oil as it would take to remove the plate, and kicking myself, but I have yet to learn lol

Yours is gonna be really sweet with all those changes, especially since its got plenty of life left too.
