I was talking to my father the other day about flat beds for the new F450 he needs to get.

Told him there was a company making a flat bed that the side on looked just like they were part of the original bed. Seems like they were fold out toolboxes too - though I'm not sure about this part.

I've googled the heck out of it and just can't find what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd ask this group. Surely one of you knows what I'm talking about.

LMK and thanks in advance.

The only ones I ever saw were Royal and I believe out of California, far as I know they are out of business.

I didn't get the name of the company, but a guy I worked with had one built.
They actually used the oe bed, and built the flatbed on that. About 13k for his, and quite a long lead time. I thought he said the company was out of oklahoma.

Yep. That dude D10tion that has a 17 with a 50k dollar utility box on it had one of those sport beds that caused the lawsuit. It was sweet.

Search his name and you'll see utility box porn.

I built one for a 2014 last year but don't know how to post pics. No boxes but still a nice bed.

you would think with a flat bed there wouldn't be enough sides to mimic the OEM style ?

There's a lot of pipeline welders around here right now. I've seen quite a few where it looks like someone took a stock bed and cut it in half from front to back, and made the remaining sheet metal toolboxes.
