steering column interchange?

Hi all, i have an 02' XLT 7.3 with a bad clock spring and i was just looking to see what years are interchangeable. I have a 04' XLT 6.0 column i was wondering if it would work? Looks like it would but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

I've never looked at the difference in the 7.3 and early 6.0 models. Do the plugs match up? If they do, it would be worth a shot, but lots of wiring changed when they went to the newer motor, so who knows.
