Default 6 or 8 Inch Lift?

Have a 2012 F250 crew cab short bed Im fixing to lift. All street driven but not my daily driver. Lift it 6 inches? Or 8 inches? Pros? Cons?

Go as high as you can afford lol. It's a one shot deal. You'll always want another inch or two later.
