2009 powerstroke with noise on startup

A week ago I installed a SCT live wire, no limit Intake and exhaust. After I was finished I started it up and took it for a spin with no issues. The truck sat for a few days and when I started it there was a whine / squeal when the motor turned over. Although I haven't had much time to really look at it the noise seems to be coming from the intake / alternator area. I removed the intake and reinstalled to make sure everything looked good but the noise was still there. Other then the noise the truck is running perfect. Any help on what's causing the issue would be appreciated, thanks.

Could it be a leak somewhere in the intake tube? sounds like air getting sucked in. i'd first make sure all the clamps are tight and no obvious leaks on the new intake tube. i'm sure someone smarter than me will chime in soon who's had the same or similar isues. good luck

Sounds like the starter gear kicking out once the engine fires.

If the starter is causing the sound is it beginning to fail?

I've only had a chance to start it a few times because I've been traveling but it's no longer making the noise :shrug:

The noise ended up being a bad starter, replaced it issue solved.
