Installed a fleece charger on the truck. While I was at it I installed new exhaust manifold, and uppipe gaskets.
All oem gaskets and properly torqued everything. I made sure the uppipes seated to the charger as well. Torqued the manifolds, etc
I had a regular (non baffled) CCV deleT.E kit on the truck. I got tired of it losing a quart between changes. So I installed an old Absolute Performance Baffled CCV Kit I had laying around the shop for the past 4 years.
Throw it all together. Sounds like a exhaust leak coming from the driver side. (Not the typewriter tick these 6.7s have) but a very audible tick that increases with RPM.
I dissemble and install new gaskets again. (Just making sure)
Noise is still there.
Injector tick/knock? IDS shows a smooth balance on all injectors
This noise is annoying.
Anyone else have this issue?
Does this baffled CCV amplify noise like a microphone?
