Just throw it in the glove box when you don't need it.

Here is what I have done, I bought a couple of these for my enclosed trailer and was happy with the results so I bought a few more. I just soldered into the factory switch but I am sure you could put a switch or tie into the interior lights if you wanted. Real low draw and fairly bright at night.

Yes they came from China so they took a few weeks but I am happy with them, the tape on the back isn't as good as I would like so I just used some clear silicone in places to hold it down.

I used to go to the junk yard and get the under hood lights off a mid 90 chevy. The one with the detachable light. It's easy to wire up and you can move it were it's needed.
