How long do I have to wait to tune my truck just for fuel economy and a bit more power. Not for racing or blowing black smoke.
Just had a new engine assembled, I have around 1050km on it now.
I have a ******* tuner.
I have heard one reputable tech say not to be concerned as it’s not a high hp tune, and another say wait till 5000 and let the rings seat on a stock pcm..
Let’s hear some more opinions..
I was going to wait till 10000km but thats really a super long time I really don’t drive much!

Thanks!

When i got done building my motor, i loaded up the hottest tune, dynoed, then went driving....hard. Breaking in motors is one of those things youll ask 10 different people the best way, and get 10 different answers. Just dont hold the rpms in 1 spot for extended amoumts of time, and you should be ok.
