A 4094 VNT garret high pressure turbo with say an S480 feeding it would be a good setup, of coarse you'll need dual fuelers and some rods to keep the block together.

Do you guys think the stock rods would handle Elites 3794 or 4094 vgt kits with proper tuning? When its turbo time for me, I want one of those.

Randy, the '15 powerstroke will come factory with a 3788 vnt unit. A 3794 will not be much of a step up in that department. I would go with a 4094. Danville makes a unit that has a 71mm wheel in a 4094(68mm stock) I have seen dyno runs of that turbo making 900hp on fuel only. God only knows what the drive psi was, however proper tuning and geting will greatly improve the manorisms of that kind of setup.

As long as the stock rods hold I see a 4094 in my semi-near/slighly distant future :D

5600$ though...........you could get a MPD kit which also happens to include exhaust manifolds for 1600$ less. Thats half way there on a set of rods or dual fuelers..........but I do love a nice VGT turbo.

I live in a hilly area and the first 187 miles of my travels is all gravel, when I had my 2010 F150 it had a 6" lift and 35s with stock 3.73 gears and it would hunt for gears on the gravel even when it was fairly flat. That drove me nuts, so I'm just worried with a non-VGT that my truck will downshift on every little hill like my F150 did.

Could someone tell me what the difference between Elites 3794 and 4094 would be in terms of daily driving felt difference? More lag with the 4094? Thanks in advance.

You won't have to worry about spool up

A diesel wont hunt for gears like a gasser. Where the heck do you live? North end of Lake Winnipeg?
