Limp Mode While Towing

Bought a 2006 F250 3 weeks ago.
Everything ran great until I towed my 6500lb trailer yesterday. :(
Wrench light came on as I was towing it uphill and the truck went into
limp mode.
As soon as I stopped and unhitched, everything went back to normal
and the wrench light went out.
Reading all kinds of depressing stuff on the net looking
like it may be the oil cooler. Any thoughts?

Have anything to monitor with? Need way to check your delta. But I say either overboost or temps got to hot.

I think you're right.
I don't have a monitor tool.
Does this have to be ordered online or is it something I can get from a parts store nearby?

I say go with a edge if you just plan to monitor. Sct livewire or x4 if you plan to tune as well. If not something cheap and quick get a scanguage from a auto store and set it up to monitor all you need.

That truck should barely notice 6500 pounds behind it. Trailer brakes aren't locked up are they?

Had the same issue and it was the tube being plugged going to the EBP sensor. Common maintenance item.

No, I ended up having to replace the Turbo.
$1300 + labor. :(
The fan clutch was also out, that was another $700 + labor. :(

The Turbo was Ford original.
