Is that clamp bigger than any of the others? Happened when we ordered boots before that two clamps were bigger and they had to go in a certain area.

Default Loud Pop under throttle... No boost?

Update:
Cleaned boot and plumbing. Hairspray applied. And for security added another clamp that allowed me to torque it down.

Problem here is that I'm running a FoMoCo stock boot and a Mish CAC. The CAC lower inlet doesn't have the same lip that the stocker had and therefore allows the boot to slip past the retainer while under heavy boost. And these High Tech quick spool compounds def do the job.

I'll have to research to find an aftermarket fitment that addresses this, as I'm sure I'm not the first that's experienced it.

Thanks for all the help guys! Saved my a$$

Smile Saved me!

Sometimes Google and forums like this save the day. I was 175 miles from home for the weekend. Was fighting big city traffic when "POP!" followed by a sudden loss of power. Managed to limp my truck to my meeting. After the meeting, I did not see anything wrong, but the truck was certainly not right.

I found this thread the next morning. Upon further inspection in better light, the intercooler coupling under the radiator reservoir had blown ("POP!") loose. No tools since I was out of town, but managed to drive down to Harbor Freight for a $17.77 investment in tools. All fixed and made it home.

"Old" threads can be very useful! Thanks to the original poster and responders!
