Yep, almost enough fur to build another GSD. Only bad thing about them.

That's why my wife switched us from GSD's to Standard Poodles. They don't shed. However, I have to groom enough hair off of them every three weeks to make another Poodle. If you own a dog, it will include unwanted hair in there somewhere.

Thatís the weird thing about ours. He doesnít shed anything close to that. Not even much at all really. Iím used to Bernese mountain dog shedding amounts and this dog doesnít shed much.

I have two that come to work with me every single day. A 3 year old Plush Coat Female and a 2 year old Longstock Coat Liver and Tan Male. Love these two to death.

The female is incredibly smart and very driven, honestly I think the smartest dog I've ever owned or anyone in my family has ever owned before. She's very fast and mobile but not very cuddly and is very independent. She's very territorial as well. She's very dramatic at times and doesn't listen to women at all, only men. She is very obedient compared to the male. She's about 60-65 lbs and kind of short.

The male is not nearly as smart, sometimes he makes me shake my head. He's a much sweeter and more cuddly type dog which my wife loves, I wish he was meaner although he has surprised me as he got older, he refuses to let any wild animals on our property besides our two outside cats that he knows. He has obliterated 3 raccoons that he wasn't happy about them trying to get under our barn. He sometimes doesn't listen very well and he's very soft hearted, if you get ever somewhat stern with him at all he gets very butthurt quick and he sulks about it for a long time. He was much harder to train than our female because of this and this typically has not been my experience with male GSDs. I think his liver/tan color and genetics plays into this for some reason. Hes about 75-ish lbs maybe 80.

I do agree with Arisley, the shedding sucks.

These dogs are #7 and #8 of GSDs I've owned in my lifetime. I love this breed to death.

Yeah
One day they are up
One day one is down

Thatís the way it usually goes as you know.

Thats Henry
He is fitting in pretty well with the pack.

Mitch on the left is almost 12 and gets a little ornery with the puppy play.

But ivy in the middle is 4 1/2 years old and runs him ragged.

We werenít sure how many years we have left with Mitch so we decided to introduce a new male.
Keep the tradition going.
