Heres a tough one that I can't figure out.

The E99 F-350 will be running down the road and just stumble instantly and then come back. Almost like you shut the key off and then back on. Fuel psi is good, new cps, new icp sensor, good hpop psi, and everything else looks good. The tach doesn't drop when it does it and it only does it running down the road. It'll only do it a couple times in a 100 mile drive. Not constantly. Its got me stumped. TPS maybe? I just don't know. It does it whether the chip is in or not.

What does the icp look like when this happens? Any codes?

Whats exhaust look like when it does cough?

Check for TPS codes.
Had that issue on one of my work trucks.

Icp and smoke all look normal. I wouldn't be asking without checking first.

I checked the VC harnesses and the plug to the IDM and Pcm. They all seem tight and free of bare wires. I don't have any codes at all. I tried a switch test on the ol snap on brick and it wouldn't complete the test. I'm gonna try it on AE today. May try to watch TPS voltage next time I'm driving with someone somewhere in it. Never tried that though. Don't know if it can see that.

grab a awl and squeeze down the female cavities. ive had a few trucks do some neat tricks from this.

No. I checked when I replaced it.

enough to make a grown man cry!!!!

Double check the rear end. Especially pinion. My 96 did the exact same thing when the pinion bearing went.
