I know P0404 is probably a dirty EG R. Runs a little rough occasionally and dad just puts his foot on the floor to "try to clear it out." I shake my head, but it's his truck. Any chance the P2552 is caused by that, or am I looking at two different issues? He's going to stop and either get a new valve, or just a seal kit. I'll clean it out once he gets the parts.

05 with roughly 150,000 miles, bone stock.

unsure of the p2552 but all he needs is the o ring kit and to clean it out. should be good for the egr code

That's what I'm hoping. The P2552 is "throttle/fuel inhibit," which searching has only brought up FICM problems, and seems to be mostly after replacement.

Exactly, either that or wiring that deals with the ficm or injectors. Could try cleaning the ficm connectors and see if that helps.

Might check to see if the FICM connectors are full ‘clicked in’.
