Electrical Problem

Just bought my first OBS. 97 F-350 crew cab long bed. Love it. anyways I had a weird thing happen yesterday. Every time I tried to roll down the drivers window ( power window ) the truck would die LOL. I took the door panel off and traced the wiring harness and found a section that had rubbed through and was shorting out on one of the cut-out holes in the door itself. I dont know if this is a big problem with these trucks but i figured I would let everybody know so they can check it out. I cut the bad section and fixed it. NO problems anymore!
