And it was suggested to ask you. Hopefully you can help out, and everyone can learn form my question.

How much do you have to shorten the drive shaft when using one?

I have a cclb DRW, and a ccsb SRW. Both 2010s. I am going to run an OD unit on the cclb DRW. Can I take the unit off of the ccsb SRW and use it on the cclb DRW with the Gear Venders? Or is there a specific length that needs to be achieved? I am going to replace the shaft on the ccsb with a CV jointed two piece shaft, and I would hate to waste the one that comes off, as it is in good order. And, would also hate to pay more money to shorten the cclb DRW setup, if I can use the leftovers of my azz hauler.

I don't know if anyone has done this, and came up empty on a search. Thanks for any input,
