Your post brings up some other thoughts as I look at turbos and injectors...

Most feedback I have seen involves 3.73 gears and 35 inch or taller tires. The truck that I would be looking to do this to has 4.10 gears and stock 32 inch tall tires. That won’t change either. Also a built Automatic transmission.

My FILs truck below has 4.10s and stock size tires, stock injectors and tows a 14K fifth wheel. Only performance mod is a SXE 364.5/74/.91. Exhaust is stock with a Walker BT muffler. 95% off all his towing is done in 4th gear...hills and all. EGTs are 900 to 1000.

He runs 1023 light tow tune and the PHP server 65HP tow tune. He says the SXE was a game changer :clapping:

Manual or auto? Would like to see some comparison with aftermarket injectors in question vs stock ones but either way, thank you for the info.

I’m thinking about trying some small hybrids. I’m currently running PIS 175/80’s and have not been overly impressed with them. 205/30 or 205/80 are the ones I’m looking at

I love my gears in my current truck when hauling (haven't towed with it yet) I did haul a certified 3k lbs in the bed of the truck and it made it up hills in 5th (manual) easily no problems at all I didn't even have to give it more throttle than normal to make it up the hills. The only thing I dont like about my 4.10 rearend is cruising at highway speeds and that's because my rpms are up there. I approach 3k rpms just doing 75 mph. I would love to swap up to 3.73 to get the rpms down at 75 mph.

I recently changed the exhaust housing on my S366SXE from 1.0 to .91 and hands down, I prefer the .91. No question about it. This is having just towed 3,000 miles from NC to UT going down to near the Mexico border and back up and using the 1023 street shredder tune. NO need for tow tunes anymore.

In fact, with stock injectors, I'd consider smaller than .91 if you want fast spooling.

I too am considering 205/30's.
