Well finally got around to getting this started.... decided to keep my B&W GN hitch and build the bed around it. In doing that i decided i liked wood deck better than metal and decided to make it look kind of like my trailer (main beams showing through the deck).... i have mis matched boardes at this point, the two exhaust tips dont match, headache rack/slip tank isnt done (including 4 more ovals in upper bar) and my Protech side boxes are in the back seat but its slowly coming along!! All Truck-Lite LEDs all the way around...

Big thanks to CSIPSD for letting me use the shop and tools to get it done!!! uploadfromtaptalk1425191720304.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425191998800.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425192098626.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425192183522.jpg

kind of a mute point at this point,
my buddy did a flatbed with a warehouse rack system.
worked great to seat 3/4" ply!

im sure that mill-scale made it nice to weld! :toast:

I thought about plywood but i just prefer the look of boards.... plus, its pretty hard to keep plywood from separating when in constant contact with lots of water....

Hopefully getting my side boxes and some other little stuff mounted today!

For ovals, use a 2 1/2" hole saw for each end of the oval... center to center of holes is 4 1/4".... then just connect between the 2 holes with a cut off wheel and grind all the sharp edges off.... easy cheesy....

The tail board i built a frame work and then skinned it with the diamond plate that i already cut all the holes into....

Today i plan to start working on the transfer tank/fuel filler setup and get my 4 ovals put into the headache rack.....

Got the boxes on yesterday, finally!!

Got the 4 headache rack lights cut out and wired up today.... outer 2 are stop/tail/turn and inner 2 are only stop/tail.....also ran wiring for 2 of 4 LED 5"work lights that will hang from top bar....150+ ft of all 16 gauge wiring and been using all shrink wrap/solder butt connectors....

Glad to finally have all the lights in and wiring done! uploadfromtaptalk1425793204515.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425793236711.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425793273040.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425793317099.jpguploadfromtaptalk1425793353293.jpg

FYI having a light fetish isnt for the faint of heart..... i get a STEEP discount and there is still over $400 just in lights...not counting wiring and connectors.... and lets not mention the $$$ in LED work lights...... its a fun project though!!

looks great! need more lights though.... you should get some used motor oil and smear it all over your deck boards. let it sit in the sun and heat up and soak in then repeat the process... works like a charm for treating our decks on trailers at our farm..
