I just bought the 5w CREE LED 921 bulbs for my cargo lights in the 3rd break light and let me tell you, dang are they bright. My wife is driving the truck during the week right now because my parking space is in a parkade that won't fit a stoke height 2003 f350 crewcab. Anyways, she doesn't like how bright they are in the morning, so i was thinking of installing a toggle switch for those lights so I could turn them off while she has the truck. Anybody know where to find the wires that lead back to the cargo lights under the dash and what color they would be?

Why in the world they put the two on the same switch is beyond me. If you turn on the cargo light at night the interior light comes on and you can't see anything from inside the cab.

Turn on your cab light.. Or you can cut the cargo light wire run constant fused power to it and just put a switch in line.

I would run it through a relay with a switch so it runs normal with the the switch off and then it will turn on with the switch.
Cut the wire to the light and run the one from the light to 30.
The one from the truck to 87A.
Run a +12 to 87.
Loop 87 to 86.
Ground one side of the switch and run the other side to 85.
Relays come with 87A and 30 closed. So it will work like normal.
When you flip the switch it will close 87 and 30.
