How bad was the shortening of the frame? I have a similar project in the near future. Trying to decide if I want to cut the frame down myself, or take it somewhere. Are you going to keep it the factory color? Keep up the good work!

Wasn't too bad actually. I had originally planned to cut with a cutoff wheel but i ended up using a sawzall. Went through 3 blades and that was it. Brought the 2 pieces of the frame together, verified they were true and level, tacked in place. Checked everything again and started welding.

The truck will be staying the teal metallic. I've always been a fan of the color and I really think it will make my truck stand out from other shorties. Thanks for the compliments and if you need any advice or anything feel free to ask.

Sub'd. This thing looks good. Can't wait to see how far it comes along!

Also, is the guy you swapped with running a 6.0 or a 7.3? He's got both badges lol That bitch is huge.

Thanks guys. It's coming. I'll be starting the body work next weekend. Just pulling a few small dents and dings here and there.

My Midwest shifter should be here this week or next.

The guy I swapped with has a 7.3. He just used polish remover to get the black that was peeing off.

Yea I found a guy locally who wanted to convert his to a longbed. We swapped, beds, tanks and driveshafts.

I had only originally messaged him from Craigslist about a dash panel he had for sale and we ended up swapping bed parts.
