Trans/tps sensor problem?

Had the codes pulled and only thing that came up was the tps sensor. The truck would have a dead peddle at certain times and would feel like the trans was slipping. Replaced the accelerator pedal assembly and it's still doing it. Also had a 6.0 trans cooler that I had installed a few weeks ago that had sat I'm a closet for quite some time.. any ideas what could be wrong? Truck is still getting a dead peddle at times and feels like the trans is slipping?

Also when the trans slips the check engine light will come on briefly and go back off as I let off the throttle

Very true. But there still is no code that says replace the TPS or replace the accelerator pedal. There are codes that say that the TPS signal is bad, but it could be a wiring issue. The TPS itself may be fine.

My point is that if you just replace parts because of a code you often waste money replacing good parts. Do some diagnosis to determine WHY the code set.
