Windshield tint strip

Anyone have and tips on how to tint over the super duty lettering on the windshield? Did one on my buddies truck could never get the air bubbles out on the textured part above the rearview mirrior.

Either cut the tint around it or you will need some kind of filler between the dot matrix and tint to fill the voids. I've read where superglue was used. Just make sure it doesn't have ammonia in it as it reacts with the adhesive on the tint.

My tint guy did a good job

next windshield I am going no logo however and just the aftermarket tint the logo is silly behind the tint IMHO

post some pics if you use the heat gun i wanna see how it turns out...been debating on doing mine.

My tint is cut around the lettering and dots in the center.

My tint guy uses black vinyl and puts that over the dots for rear defrosts.

My guy did a heat gun when he did mine and it came out pretty good. Did my whole windshield with 35.
As mentioned, with an aftermarket windshield there's no SD logo and imo looks much better too.

My guys put reflective tint under that part. So in the day light the superduty real pops, but cant even tell its there at night. Whole windshield 35%...

Maybe thats not the buck in the third picture LOL

Yeah my 6.0 will be there this year. Hopefully be able to keep up with the pack LOL

Goos luck man. Fastest truck I know up there runs 12.08 in the 1/4. I put a 472 single on mine so I'm done. I gotta go out on the track and get my 1st olace o ointa trophy in may though!

Thanks man. Im running some 205s with one of Adrians turbos smaller turbo's. So I should be able to compete. I hope anyways. Yeah I saw your build thread! Will you still be attending to some of the events?
