Have been super busy with work but here's my down pipe. Just needs a few more welds and its done. I'll be doing a full exhaust once this goes on the truck.

Awesome work guys! Keep the pics coming. I wish I had some metal skills like a lot of you guys have. I have always admired metal work, but haven't ever took the time to learn it. Farlow at Rudy's does a pretty awesome job too! He doesn't post much on the forums but maybe I can get him to chime in on some projects he's done. He goes by boostfed on here

All you need is a little imagination and practice, get some metal and try to make something

I am right there with you. I am slowly getting better just by working with it, but I can't weld worth a crap. I spend way more time grinding to clean it up than I should. LOL

This is a bracket for a boat I am working on. I made it out of angle iron. I need to get over to the boat to test fit it so I can finish and then coat it.

This is what its supposed to look like. This is the right side. The left side was missing when my brother picked up the boat.

Thanks!!! I've still got it, sitting in the corner of the barn. Old man wouldn't let me sell it, I'm glad I didn't. Hoping to get it done by winter.

It's not to hard really just time consuming for sure. I started when I was 16 and I'm 21 now I consider myself a decent fabricator but I still have a lot to learn but it comes with time. I look at stuff I did when I was like 17 and I'm amazed how far I've come really. All self taught also, though I do want to take some welding classes and pick up a tig.

It's still expensive doing stuff yourself and very time consuming.
