Default 99-04 shocks

What’s the “go to” shock for the leaf spring super duties these days? No off-roading other than checking cows and such in the pasture.

Truck is a 2000 cclb 4x4 Dually

V codes up front, C codes in rear

Depends on your budget. Lifetime shocks form the dime stores or good shocks like fox??

Rancho RS9000XL. Set the front on 6 and the rear on 3.

I put Fox 2.0’s on the Excursion and honestly haven’t been that impressed with them.

I'm running KYB red body shocks on V and A codes. Empty bed rides rough but smooths out with 500lbs.

Rancho, bilstien, Fox, etc. Nothing cheap but want something that will last for a while.

[QUOTE=Strokersace;1534139]Interesting, most everyone likes the fox shocks.

I know. That’s why I put them on.
I’m not saying they’re bad, just been a little disappointed.
It seems like the front needs more dampening. The Ex is stock height, and it will hit the bumpstops violently on not that big of a bump. Add in hard Energy suspension bumpstops and it’ll make you cringe.
The Energy’s are coming out and OE is going back in here in a couple weeks.

I run icons in the front of my truck, and have been very happy with them. Not sure if they make stock height ones or not. I had bulsteins up front, and they were junk. Believe it or not, I still have the factory "ranchos" in the ass at 245k. They need replaced though..,

So ranchos or Fox. $115 vs $160

Zeb, what kind of rig did you run the ranchos on?

Several different ones.
2001 F250 4x4 ccsb, leveled on 33’s,
2005 F250 4x4 ccsb, lowered 1.5” up front 2” in the rear,
2007 F250 4x4 ecsb lowered 3” up front, and 4” in the rear.
All those had Rancho RS9000XL’s on them.
I know your question was directed toward the leaf sprung trucks, and only 1 in the list was leaf springs.
