08 mirror problem

I have an 08 lariat that had a mirror replaced on the driver's side that had is not power extend and all the goodies. My mirrors do not move when I push up and down, but moves diagonally when I push left or right. I bought the truck this way. Anyone have any ideas or a mirror that I could hook up to see if it is the miss matched mirrors?

Nobody has tried to save money by putting the cheaper mirror on one side? If you did, was the same problem experienced? I am at a loss.

Did you ever figure out this problem? I have the same problem now.
