Trust me man it isn't fun. I tried the strap. No go. Despite my greatest efforts, and yelling chants and abra cadabra, it still won't seat. Oh well. Beer 30

Nahh broski. It don't do it. The way the wheel is designed it's concave. There's a solid 3/4" gap between the bead and the tire and it's gotta travel about an inch up before it contacts the lip. Gonna dismount and try it on one of my American forces since I don't have tires yet. Should be a sexy display :)

2 cheetahs and get something slick on the rim near the top we use same lube we use on trans parts. There hasn't been a 12.50 on 14 wide we couldn't get with that method.

No offence to anyone your into what your into but WTF? why would you want 12.5" wide tires on a 14" wide rim!? So you can scuff up the rim instead of the tire? the 14.5" wide tries look really well on the 14" wide rims leaving 1/4" over either side but....wow I just cant believe people do the whole jack up the SD and put tiny thin tires and wide rims with the front up in the air. Isnt that a Chevy guy thing? Anyways I am sure there are things that I am into that make you ask why as well but I just had to voice my $0.02.

I agree with you, I did rant a little.
Not my cup of tea as I would rather scuff a tire rather than a rim and it must be really hard on the sidewalls and bead but do what you want and I will do the same.

Yea. Some of you guys need to put yhis in perspective. My superduty ran 16s for years. One got damaged and I went to a 16.5x14 weld. .was too wide..went back to a 12 wide 16". Three years later, about 06, I ran an 18" weld. Loked awesome with a 35 but I frikkin got used to the 16/37 being curbproof and shwacked a rim off the curb..after a week

Went back to 16s. When I retired thst truck 3 years ago I went to a 35x12.5 on 20x12. Wish id have gone 22x12 or 14. When it drives and parks where a car does, it doesnt matter.
