Wrong, 33x12.50s on 16.5x14s are nasty...

To each his own, I don't like how the long sidewall looks when its stretched out. The tire ends up looking like this < > cause the tread is too narrow and then it bulges out around where the rim is.

For the OP here are 35x12.50 on 22x14. No one has had any issues with running narrower tires on wider rims. They still wear perfectly even too. I understand its to each to his own on looks too.

The set off the truck were on buddy's excursion and heavy as his truck is he has had no issues with them at all for 2 years even with sled pulling and at the drag strip.

Damn....... Not really one for the super stretched tire but this truck is well done

I like the way it looks. But my preference comes from the mud racers back in the day. Like 14 wide boggers on 18 wide wheels and bead locks. And I grew up in the land of the lowrider in NM where they had wide wheels and low pro tires. And I'm guilty of running wheels and tires like this. I think it looks cool. Just a matter of opinion.

When did the low profile stretched out bubble ricer looking tire become cool? I thought the diesel crowd hated on ricers?

I was just wondering the same thing. I remember that look being "cool" back when i was in jr high. It is so lame. you cant air down to go off road with out blowing a bead. I just don't get it. Maybe I am too old. Is this the look you guys are looking for. http://bringatrailer.com/2011/12/28/1982-vw-caddy-diesel/

I picture an overly fat person wearing lycra when I see the tire/rim combo of the topic. Sure you are allowed to do/wear what you want, but should you?

Just like anything else, OPINION.

Right. As I said its all a personal preference. I would prefer a 12 inch wide wheel at a minimum. That's just me though. I'm not into the narrower wheels unless its in the form of a stock 20 for example.

I personally like the wide look, everyone has their own taste. If you don't like it thats great, but I can bet there are people who don't like your style just as much.

Here's some of mine when I had 20x14's and 34/14.50's.

Nothing wrong with that... The rims are the same width, or slightly less then the tire. I think for my taste its too wide and hangs out too far, but it looks nothing like these stretched out fugly deals...
