I purchased my lift and wheels as a package used. I liked the stance of the truck with them, but wanted a wheel with a flat lip. The XD wheels were to "bowl like". I was going to run the Fuel x14's, but at full turn my tires were rubbing on the lower tab of the front fender. I didn't want to go up any higher or start cutting metal on a brand new truck so went with 22x11's.

When I first lifted

Love the look, and it sticks out plenty without having to stretch tires with 2x4's and all that other crazy stuff. I've always loved that truck! I was on an F150 forum the other day and came across your old F150. You've built beautiful trucks man.

Thanks very much. A 22x12 wheel appears to be a perfect fit for a 13.5" wide tire. I find with the 11's I still have to much "bubble" in the tire.

It must have been f150forumsonline. i use to stay on there a lot. Some times I regret selling the 150. There is something about the color that I miss along with the center consume shift.

I have 20x12's on 13.50 and the sidewalls are still pulled in more than I'd like. I think a 12.50 on a 12" wide rim is the best look, the tire and rim are almost dead even.

Tires don't say the rim width they are designed for Anynore?

yes they do. I have seen several sites mention rim width that is meant for that size tire. for example, my 37 13.50 18 are meant for rims between 8-11 inch wide rims. this stretched tire look may be "cool" but for us guys here in the south west it does not work because when you air the tire down to go offf road you blow a bead. I can air my 37's down to 10-15 psi and they dont come off the 18x9 rim there are mounted on.

Thats what i thought. You mean I'm not the only one that goes off road with my lifted truck?

I don't take my truck off road. I like for it to be and stay clean. Underside as well as outside.

Does that make me less of a man? LOL

22x12.25 with 37/13.50/22's. I'd actually like a little bubble to protect the rim more.
