I just lost heat last night. I felt past the heat control valve and it's hot all the way to the firewall then when it comes back out of the firewall it's cold. Everything was fine a few days ago and I have had the cooling system drained a few times flushing it. Can a heater core get air locked ? Or should I lean towards it being plugged. I'm going to try and unhook both lines tomorrow and flush just the heater core but I was just curious if they can get air locked

Can definitely get an air bubble in them. Have you driven it since having the coolant drained? Usually after running highway speed the air will get pushed out.
