The inevitable happened with my 6.4. -
Cracked #5 piston on a studded motor on my hdstreet tune.

She's getting tore down, at a reputable shop (local) and I've been dreaming of an affordable yet decently potent build ever since.

Currently I have 71/59 pushing air, full deletes, no limit everything almost , mishi radiator.

Curious as to what y'all think about as far as the rebuild components- right now I'm on the Carrillo and mahle bus , and considering a mild cam-/and supporting valve train aid. Trans will be getting rebuilt and also adding an ad2/ keeping stock injectors until I can afford to really feed her.

Just curious what some of you have gone with, and some advice on what to stay away from. Thanks in advance, and look fwd to hearing from y'all

I'd stay away from the air dog and I'd probably swap out the 71 for a 72. A 72 would be good for down the road if you do push more fuel. I'd also probably get the BD 6.0 manifolds and up pipe kit.

Honestly, an Airdog is perfectly fine for a low pressure system like a 6.4.

I should have included more supporting mods in relation to turbo plumbing. It's a Rudy's set up accompanied with their HD up-pipe kit. Also the AD will just replace the hpfp completely- mainly for added protection. Have two friends- each with horror stories of less than desirable fuel.

Motor is enroute to Jim at Engine Services in GA. Also adding a Spearco IC, AD 165, and AD upgrade. Hamilton valve train components are going in, heads are getting o-ringed. Hopefully have some pics in a few weeks, and be back on the road with the addition of custom tunes from KEM, or PIP. We'll see how this goes....

Somewhere down in Texas..
He already intro'd himself in another thread, in April. IDK why he put this in this forum. My comment was that Tony never reads the thread, just sees a thread in newly enlisted, and throws out a generic welcome. Or sees a thread where somebody posts their truck burned down..and there is a pic attached..it gets a "nice ride! Glad you are here".
